Jean Pagnone and her husband Louis have called the Dry Creek area home for over 17 years and are parents to two teens, Eva and Luca. For Jean, family is everything.

Jean is a well-respected, thriving local business owner. Her time in Placer County has allowed her the privilege of supporting causes and candidates that are important to her community - from schools to charitable organizations to elected officials who affect individuals’ day-to-day lives. In addition to her duties as a Dry Creek Trustee, she serves the community as a board member of the Placer County Taxpayers Association and the West Placer MAC. Jean is committed to providing an education that values the success of every child while honoring parental rights and supporting teachers.

Ryan Haynes and his family have been residents of Roseville for over 13 years. A product of public education himself, Ryan has a personal appreciation for how the formative K-8 school years shape and mold young lives for the future.

Ryan and his wife Jessica have enjoyed raising their two young children in the Dry Creek Community. As a parent, Ryan has a vested interest in seeing all students succeed and thrive in their education in the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District.

After serving in several leadership roles in the community, Ryan launched his own management consulting business to equip individuals and teams with the skills to thrive according to their unique wiring. Ryan is a Gallup Certified Clifton Strengths Coach and holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Hope International University. He is excited to use his gifts and experience to help coalesce the best ideas and strategies from students, parents, teachers, and administrators to achieve the best educational outcomes.

Jon Fenske grew up in Reno, NV, and graduated from UNR in 1990 with degrees in Physics and Engineering. Jon has been a licensed Civil Engineer in California since 1996 and was fortunate to have a profession that allowed him to travel the world working on water resource projects. Jon has also taught Physics and Engineering at the University level and co-owned a prominent small business in Davis, CA (the Varsity Theatre).

In 2018, Jon and his family, which includes two school-aged girls, moved from Davis, CA, to unincorporated Dry Creek. Jon and his family love Placer County with its beautiful nature and friendly, down-to-earth residents. Jon recently left full-time employment to spend more time with his family and work on the country property that has been in his family for almost 40 years.

Jon wants to bring a fresh perspective, greater transparency, and greater community engagement to the Dry Creek School Board. He believes that strengthening the parent partnership in education leads to greatly improved outcomes; the 6,500+ Dry Creek students deserve our best.

Jason Walker believes successful schools are vital for a healthy community. With a background in education and as a father of students attending Dry Creek Joint Elementary schools, Jason empathizes with the challenges that parents and educators face and is committed to listening to the voices of teachers and parents alike.

Jason has committed over 20 years to public service, including roles explicitly dedicated to children and students. As a law enforcement officer, he prioritized campus safety and maintaining positive community relations and gladly accepted assignments for after-school and mentoring programs. Jason currently works as a college counselor, guiding students to personal and academic success daily, and is committed to ensuring Dry Creek students are well-prepared for high school and beyond.
