What is Mental Health?
Mental health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, act, make decisions, and relate to others.
What can impact our Mental Health?

- Alcohol or drug use
Signs you may need Mental Health support:
- Feeling anxious or sad constantly
- Lack of motivation or energy
- Too much or too little sleep
- Withdrawing from social activities
- Feeling numb, confused, or easily irritated
- Over or under eating
- Difficulty concentrating
- Wishing to be alone for long periods
- Hearing or seeing things that aren’t there
- Thoughts of harm or death
Positive coping strategies:
Meditation, mindfulness, yoga, breathing exercises, grounding skills, journaling, acceptance, exercise, seeking therapy, and talking to a counselor.
Negative coping strategies:
Substance abuse or self-medication, violence and abuse, self-harm, compulsivity, dissociation, catastrophizing, and isolating.
