Cliff De Graw Superintendent

Superintendent Cliff De Graw is a learner at heart, driven to spark intellectual curiosity that inspires young learners to reach their fullest potential. Whether it is exploring new ideas, deepening existing knowledge, or discovering more efficient, effective, and innovative solutions to problems, De Graw loves the challenge and the process of learning. It is why he pursued a career in education to help students discover their spark and uncover their passions.

After his first year of college, De Graw served as a volunteer church service missionary in Mexico for two years and grew to love the Spanish language and Mexican culture. Together with his love of language and passion for supporting students, he began his teaching career as a Spanish teacher, first at a language immersion training center and later as a high school teacher.

While teaching Spanish, De Graw coached high school girls' and boys' basketball and was the co-advisor for the high school surf team. After seven years of teaching Spanish, De Graw began his school administration journey as a Vice Principal in the Woodland Joint Unified School District. He later joined the Vacaville Unified School District and served as the Principal of Will C. Wood High School. For the last nine years, De Graw has served as a district administrator for two K-12 school districts, holding the roles of Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for Petaluma City Schools and, most recently, as Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Services for the Western Placer Unified School District.

De Graw’s love of learning and innovation still play a key role in his drive while remaining focused on the district, its schools, and Board policies and processes. He believes in the partnership between families, the community, and educators to support the success of all students, not only within Dry Creek, but also as they transition into high school and life.

De Graw cherishes his family and loves being a husband and father. He and his wife Kimberlee have been married for over 25 years and have three children, Kayden, Haylee, and Alyssa.
