Dry Creek has an exciting month of planned activities for students centered around this year's theme, "Your Presence Matters!" We are committed to helping families understand the importance of consistent attendance, while also making it fun for students!
We look forward to partnering with our families to build strong attendance habits and make every school day count. When students show up, they succeed!
Here’s what you can look forward to each week:
Week 1: August 31 - September 4
Attendance Scouts Caught You At School Prize Drawing
We’ll kick things off by celebrating students showing up to school each day of the week! School administrators will be acting as "Attendance Scouts," catching students coming to school and highlighting them on their school's Instagram account. Those random students posted on social media will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a scooter and helmet.
Week 2: September 8 - 11
Classroom Attendance Challenge
Classes with 100% attendance will be recognized each week and earn fun rewards at their school. Top classes will also be entered into a district drawing for classroom supplies for their teacher.
Week 3: September 14 - 18
Surprise Prize Week
Students who are present at school may be randomly selected and announced over the intercom for prize drawings and recognized school-wide. Just another reason to be at school and ready to learn!
Week 4: September 22 - 25
Spirit Week
We’ll wrap up the month with a districtwide Spirit Week! Students can participate in themed dress-up days to celebrate attendance and show their school pride.

Tuesday, September 22 - Team-Up Tuesday
Wear a jersey, team shirt, or team colors.
“Every player counts!”
Wednesday, September 23 - Wacky Wednesday
Wear wild hair, wacky socks, or a fun accessory.
“Be here, be you!”
Thursday, September 24, - Bright Future Thursday
Wear bright or neon colors.
“Show up and shine!”
Friday, September 25 - Spirit Friday
Wear school colors or spirit wear.
“Together we connect and conquer!”
